The role of an SAE International Aerospace Committee Manager is a critical component in advancing the aerospace industry through the development and publication of consensus technical standards. Working collaboratively to manage and support the activities of SAE technical standards committees, this position involves working with experts from across the aerospace community by facilitating the development and balloting of standards, staffing meetings in various worldwide locations, and working closely with the committees' leadership to drive participation and performance. This role is part of a closely connected, dynamic and hard-working team that thrives on continuous improvement and shared success The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to assimilate knowledge and use critical thinking skills, the skills to manage excellent relationships at group and individual levels, a passion for improvement, and a proactive outlook.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Working closely with technical committee leadership to advance the committees' objectives, using industry knowledge, metrics and data to assess committee health and drive improvementsCollaborating with committee members and colleagues, facilitating the development, balloting and publication of consensus standards that industry and government rely uponOrganizing and representing SAE in virtual and in-person committee meetings in a variety of locationsActing as focal point for enquires and communications, ensuring adherence to policies and proceduresCollaborating with colleagues to promote the work of SAE technical committees in key venuesEDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:Bachelors degree in a relevant field with 5 years experience in customer-facing, group facilitation or association arena, required.Experience working in or with the aerospace or related industry, desired.Experience in coordinating and executing organizational process and procedure, requiredExcellent oral and written communications skills, requiredStrong presentation and meeting facilitation skills, requiredExcellent organizational, planning and negotiation skills, requiredAbility to effectively utilize computer programs and web applications, requiredExcellent people management and motivational skills, requiredAbility to work with a variety of individuals and coordinate their needs while maintaining the rules and integrity of the organizationAbility to travel 35% of the time#LI-Hybrid #LI-Onsite
