System One is currently seeking a Commissioning Engineer for an industry-leading client in the Warrendale, PA area.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for the execution of Commissioning and Startup project phases.
Responsible for the implementation of detailed execution plan for non-energized, energized testing activities, including schedule and budget fully integrated with the project schedule and budget including:
System and sub-system scoping
Commissioning Procedures
Interface Management
Handover procedures, including acceptance tests, forms, and work processes
System testing procedures and specialty cleaning requirements
FAT/SAT coordination
Commissioning Raw materials, intermediates and spares list
Risk Management (system specific) and mitigations
Coordinates the preparation of the detailed area commissioning plans
Responsible for the safe and timely execution of all Commissioning activities and integration of these activities with both Project and Operations.
Responsible to communicate to the Commissioning Manager for the coordination of vendor representatives required during Commissioning.
Responsible for the communication of the requirements and timing for materials, resources, and external services for Commissioning and ensures these requirements are secured.
Completes daily and/or weekly reports detailing Commissioning activities completed, planned and needs to complete commissioning.
Responsible to coordinate troubleshooting and repair of equipment and unit processes during Commissioning and during hyper-care periods of Commissioning hands-off to Operations/Maintenance.
Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, US Navy Nuclear Power School, or equivalent project experience. Compliance Requirement:
2 years of professional experience in a commissioning role preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Able to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, and equipment information.
Able to read, understand, and interpret EPC contracts, subcontracts, vendor agreements, and other related documents.
Planning, scheduling, and coordination experience preferred
Experience in the use of procedures and workflows
Functional knowledge of all project discipline systems, design, and reporting processes
Renewables and/or RNG experience preferred
Instrumentation/Control/Automation experience with Allen Bradley PLC systems preferred
Electrical commissioning start-up experience preferred
Operations and Maintenance experience preferred

The work location is a climate controlled indoor office. Incumbent will be expected to work in several projects/assignments simultaneously and may need to work outside of core operating hours as requested. Travel to outside locations will expose the incumbent to weather conditions.
