　　Job Summary:

　　Engineering Product Integrity is seeking a motivated individual for a Reliability, Maintainability & Safety (RMS) engineer position to work on the next generation of Pratt & Whitney aircraft engines. This senior engineer position will lead efforts to analyze the system design and establish requirements that drive safety and reliability into the design to ensure the safety and reliability of P&W products is world class.

　　Travel up to 10%, United States and International

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Work with engineers throughout the organization, evaluate systems interactions across the entire propulsion system.

　　Support P&W Integrated Product Teams, Chief Engineer, Airframe manufacturers, Suppliers, and Customers in reviewing, assessing, and influencing engine designs to optimize RMS metrics and assure requirements are met.

　　Developing high quality RMS artifacts such Failure Mode Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Reliability and Safety Prediction Models, Fault Tree Analysis, Hazard Analysis and Maintainability Analysis.

　　Leading RMS customer technical interchange meetings, Working Group Meetings, driving RMS in subsystem Integrated Product Team (IPT), Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and Systems Integrated Product Team (SIPT) integration activities and reviews with internal and external customers and air system contractors.

　　Contribute to RMS design requirements based on derivation of the customer specification, creating reliability, maintainability/human factors and safety design assessment artifacts in accordance with engineering standard work.

　　Monitor the status of reliability and safety metrics to identify emerging issues and adverse trends, working with the responsible IPTs/CIPTs/Customer Support Engineering to identify root cause and corrective actions.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Bachelor’s degree is Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)

　　5+ years of Engineering experience or 3+ years with an advanced degree

　　Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

　　The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Experience with commercial/military aircraft and/or engine engineering processes is preferred.

　　Ability to use Microsoft Office tools and electronic databases to perform quantitative reliability and safety analysis is required.

　　The ability to lead projects from the planning phase through execution.

　　The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
