Collections Specialist - Fort Worth Texas - Part-Time
20 hours per week
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Collection Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of collecting outstanding A/R, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and can adapt to change. This position requires collections experience and will be able to drive the collections efforts by maintaining all collection call records, special customer accounts, process write on/offs and term letters timely and accurately monthly. This position also serves as a backup for phones, entering new contracts, setting up commission records, processing credits cards and assisting with billing tasks, as assigned.
Responsibilities
Post daily A/R receipts to Client accounts and reconcile daily deposits
Investigate and resolve discrepancies and Client account reconciliation issues
Issue Term Letters as appropriate
Process recurring credit cards schedule daily
Monitor Finance email and assist clients as requested
Answer calls as assigned through the AR queue and assist clients as requested
Process new contracts and cancellations as necessary
Work closely with team members to foster an environment of open communication
Perform other tasks as required by the finance department
Maintain satisfactory attendance as defined by company policy
Promote and adhere to FDS’s mission, core values and vision
Adhere to all HIPAA regulations
Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge and Skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Must be able to type 45-50 WPM with excellent 10-key data entry
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
Must possess strong organizational, planning and time management skills
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines
Excellent Client service skills, with an ability to develop and maintain effective relationships
Basic Qualifications
3-5+ years of experience in a similar role
Collection experience required
Contracting experience preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree
NetSuite Experience
Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software desired
