Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the hospitality industry, based in Lewisville, Texas. The role entails a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days working from home. This opportunity would be 4-6 months with the possibility to go permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintaining complete and accurate records of customer credit

• Communicating with customers through email to collect on accounts

• Escalating any issues that require phone calls to a senior team member

• Regularly monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action

• Utilizing Excel for tasks requiring V-Lookups

• Handling a large volume of accounts for collections, without specific focus on KPIs

• Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills, with particular attention to detail

• Developing professional follow-up skills and maintaining a professional cadence in communications

• Training and learning on the job, making it suitable even for recent graduates with good Excel skills.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of three years of experience in the hospitality industry.

• Proven track record in B2B collections.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field preferred.

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to debt collection.
