Position: Coder III

The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coder III to join our growing team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate coding, DRG assignment, and reimbursement for services provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for accurate DRG assignment and reimbursement.
Review complex documentation to identify and assign appropriate codes.
Adhere to Coding Guidelines, Coding Clinics, LCDs, and NCDs to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with CDI staff to justify DRG/AAPC discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
Seek clarification from healthcare providers to optimize DRG and severity of illness documentation.
Eligible for remote work once quality and productivity standards are met.
Requirements:
Certification by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Minimum of 3 years of Inpatient coding experience.
Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology.
Familiarity with encoders and groupers preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Confident and effective oral and written communication skills.
