  Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Director of Programs to join our diverse team of professionals leading the Coatings Integrated Product Team (IPT), supporting multiple special programs in Palmdale, CA.

  Job Description:

  The Director of Programs directs all phases of coatings operations from inception through completion for multiple programs. Acts as primary contact for all coatings activities with responsibility of overall cost, schedule and technical performance of special programs in Palmdale, CA. Establishes cost and technical milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules to enhance coatings operations on site, such as optimizing utilization of facilities, and standardizing process and quality approaches while meeting environmental, safety, health, and medical (ESHM) regulations.Support technology development, strategic planning, requirements definition, and facility construction to perform coatings operations.Identify both risks and opportunities to optimize the Coatings IPT execution while continuing to develop new business and/or expand the utilization of the IPT with the site leadership.Continue to mature leadership team and establish training plans and costs to maintain a knowledgeable, cross-trained staff.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.Experience leading and developing large multi-functional teamsExperience in estimating and planning both budgets and schedules needed to satisfy program requirements, within organizational constraints, related to coatings-based activities.Experience leading the performance of coatings tasks supporting schedule, cost and technical requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.Experience managing and/integrating the overall support equipment, training, and necessary items to support coatings operations on site.Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7+ days-a-week, 365 days a year.Must hold a minimum active DoD Top Secret security clearance with an adjudication date within the last 5-years and ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission is a condition of employment.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience leading planning, scheduling, and execution of coatings related operations.Familiar with coatings technical data, development and sustainment processes including engineering and testing experience.Knowledge in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) including Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.Knowledge with strategic roadmap development for integration, implementation, and installation on next-generation manufacturing technologies and facilitiesExperience developing sourcing strategies; to include soliciting/analyzing requests for proposals and coordinating supplier integration plans.Experience building relationships with strategic customers.Prior experience with formal training and career development related to general leadership and coatings related skill areas.Salary Range: $209,600 - $314,400

  The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
