ATHOL CNC Vertical Machining Center Operator - Experienced Perform anormal range of drilling, tapping, reaming, boring, milling and similarmachining operations on a single spindle CNC machining center to producea variety of parts of various materials such as steel, stainless steel,brass, bronze, aluminum, etc. Set-ups in the main are exacting but notdifficult and require changing the tooling, setting the tool heights,changing and indicating pallets and downloading the program to themachine. The sequence of operation, tools and location, speeds and feedsare prescribed on the coversheet. Tolerances are close on dimensions,concentricity and squareness and must be held. Check the first part tobe sure that it is to the print specifications. Check the partsperiodically to assure same. Change the tools as necessary. Remove chipsfrom machine. Detect faulty operation or defective material and reportthese and/or unusual conditions to the supervisor. Maintain the machineas required by cleaning, oiling and greasing, etc. Perform all duties inconformance with all safety and health requirements. Perform all otherselected duties required or requested. Keep the work area in a clean,orderly and safe manner.
