DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:The CNC Programmer will be responsible to plan, layout and create machine ready Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programs for the fabrication of wood components for precast concrete forms using a variety of computer software; 2D, 3D, BobCAD, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, and TEKLA.
Qualifications: * A minimum of 1-year experience in Production Machine Programming or related field * Working knowledge of 2D, 3D, BobCAD, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, and TEKLA modeling software * Knowledge of precast/prestressed concrete forming and manufacturing processes, a plus * Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills * Knowledge of and experience with lean manufacturing concepts * Self-starter with ability to function well in a team environment * CNC setup experience; KOMO, OSAI, and/or Fanuc controlled CNC operating experience, a plus * Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
Job Functions: * Create CNC machine programs using BobCAD, Fusion 360, AutoCAD files or CAD CAM system * Optimize machine programs and nest for optimal time and material usage * Adhere to programming schedule to support plant floor production and meet customer delivery dates * Check/audit drawings and programs created by other team members * Ability to professionally communicate and work with others in both the Engineering and Production teams * Ability to interpret engineering documentation and write appropriate machine-level instructions, including revisions to existing programs with minimum supervision * Create code to produce standard parts, special orders, on a CNC machine * Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data in order to calculate part dimension compatibility with machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates * Create solid models of components (i.e. parts and assemblies) * Professionally communicate and work with others within various departments in production and engineering i.e.; troubleshoot CNC programming
