Description:
1st shift
6:00am to 2:30pm (M-F) Working overtime and/or weekends as necessary
• Setup and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, Wire EDM, etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, engineered drawings, and 3D models
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functions
• Prepare, load, and unload raw materials and parts onto the machines safely
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they are manufactured to specifications
• Coordinate activity with other machinists and make sure operations are carried out efficiently and safely
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with Lathes, Mills, Surface Grinders, WIre EDM
Skill in operating CNC machinery
Experience with tooling
Using Precision measurement tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints as well as mechanical documents and drawings
Comfortable with Computers and with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
Familiarity with CNC Software/Programming (GibbsCAM/ MasterCam preferred but others acceptable)
Proactive team player that is a strong communicator
Ability to make repairs on machines
