About CNC Machinist 1 or 2 - 2nd shift

  We are looking for a Machinist 1 or 2 to join our team. The Machinist is responsible for set ups, operating and monitoring CNC Vertical Turning Centers, Vertical and Horizontal Milling Centers and manual machining centers in the manufacture and production of various products in accordance with product specifications.

  As a Machinist 1 or 2, you will:

  Select appropriate tooling and inserts

  Calculate and set controls to regulate machining

  Sets up and operate machines on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data

  Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required

  Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems

  Use crane, hoist, forklift or other material handling equipment to transport materials and product into and out of the work area as required

  Monitor the production board and internal paperwork from supervisor to perform tasks in the designated sequence

  Verify end parts are consistent with blue print specifications

  Accurately label all parts that require classification for routing to next operation

  Role qualifications as a Machinist 1 or 2:

  Preferred candidates will have a 2-year technical degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in related area.

  Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings

  Proficiency in performing operations using CNC equipment

  Accurately use tape measure and precision measuring devices

  Ability to perform basic shop math functions

  Next steps would include an on-site interview and tour of the facility to see what you could be doing here at Millerbernd Manufacturing. From here, the hiring manager would discuss the interview with the Team Lead (if applicable) and determine to move forward or not.

  Throughout the process, you will receive communication from our Talent Acquisition Team regarding the status of your application and next steps if applicable. On average, our hiring process takes 3-10 business days once your application is submitted.

  Salary disclaimer:

  The actual base salary for this role is based on various factors, including but not limited to market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The range provided is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

  Shift options:

  2nd shift is Monday - Thursday 3pm – 1am includes $1.50/hour shift differential

  10-hour shifts (per day) including paid breaks (1st and 2nd shifts)

  Voluntary Overtime is available
