Custom Mold & Design, a Velosity Company is hiring a CNC Hard Mill Machinist on 2nd shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. This position is responsible for building, repairing and altering molds and fixtures of extremely complex and precise nature. This position reports to the Mold Making Operations Manager and has no direct reports. This is an on-site position. What's Custom Mold & Design? Generous PTO offerings & 8 paid holidays annually Great opportunities for growth & advancement A family centric environment that hires and develops talent based on our values Casual Dress Code Qualifications: 2 years mold making experience in a tool shop environment, preferred 2 years technical or trade school degree with an emphasis on tool marking or equivalent experience, preferred Proficient understanding of blueprint reading Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States, required Essential Duties: Build and repair molds to customer specifications Troubleshoot problems with a mold and arrive with an action plan to correct the problem in a reasonable amount of time. Schedule and manage work in other departments as required Work cooperatively with all employees Take responsibility to see jobs are completed as due Schedule and manage work in other departments as required Operate all necessary equipment in a safe manner with little or no supervision Wear safety equipment that is relevant to the job being performed, or equipment being used Other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Work Conditions & Physical Demands: This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in a tool making and/or molding shop.
