Caregiving experience is not required, but is helpful (private in-home care, assisted living, LTC facilities, etc.). You should have a solid work history with demonstrated reliability, good communications skills, and a caring personality.  Each of our clients is special and unique, but typical tasks are listed below. Job Duties: Personal care - showering, bathing, dressing, bathroom assistanceRemind clients to take prescribed medicationAssist clients with walking, mobility, and physical therapy exercisesAccompany clients to doctor’s appointments, store etc.Plan and prepare mealsTransfers if needed (bed to wheelchair, Hoyer lifts etc.)Alzheimer/Dementia careErrands such as shopping or accompanying clients on shopping tripsPerform light housekeeping dutiesBe a pleasant and supportive companionAct quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencyAdditional requirements include: High School Diploma or EquivalentReliable transportationValid ID or driver licenseAuto InsuranceAt least one year of experience working with seniors in a home settingEnglish proficiency and excellent communication skillsTwo references requiredProof of a TB test taken within the last year showing clear resultsMust be able to pass background checkBLS/CPR training a plus
