Job Description: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) isresponsible for performing basic care of patients under the generalsupervision of an RN in the acute hospital setting. The CNA is alsoresponsible for transporting and transferring patients within themedical complex in a safe and efficient manner. The CNA will also assistwith data collection to facilitate the delivery of delegated nursingcare. Major Responsibilities: 1. Assists with basic care for patients inthe areas of nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility and safety. 2.Transports and transfers patients within the medical complex usingappropriate equipment (ex. LIKO ceiling lifts) and utilizing safetyprecautions as indicated by the patient\'s health status. 3. Assistsnursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients using appropriatepractice guidelines. 4. Transports bodies to the morgue. 5. Maintainsenvironment and equipment and will locate and deliver appropriateequipment to Central Service and Maintenance departments. 6.
