No weekends orholidays. Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: The Cancer Center I Technician isan essential member of the patient-centered cancer healthcare team. Thisindividual, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nursesprovides delegated age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethnicallysensitive manner. Contributes to patient care by assisting with tasksoutlined in their clinical competency assessment related to vital signs,performing blood draws, maintaining the environment of care, managingsupply inventory, and/or assisting providers and other members of theCancer Center interdisciplinary care team to enhance the patient careexperience. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School Diploma or GED isrequired. One of the following is also required: 1. Completion of anCAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program, or 2. State ofWisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification or 5 years ambulatoryexperience, or 3. Completion of an Emergency Medical Technician programor 3 years of EMT experience, or 4. Currently enrolled in nursingprogram and able to provide documentation from an accredited school forprofessional nurses indicating successful completion of the basicnursing course which encompass all of the criteria noted by the State ofWisconsin administrative code and a minimum experience of one acute caremedical/surgical rotation.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: American HeartAssociation (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS)or an AHA approved equivalent within 90 days of hire.
