JOB OPPORTUNITIES and WAGES:
Sandhills Care Center is currently hiringCertified Nursing Assistants (CNA)for the following shifts:
Full/Part Time - Day shift with rotating weekends
Full/Part Time - Night Shift with rotating weekends
Wages starting at$23.50/hr.
Shift Differential for nights and weekends
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a graduate of a State-approved CNA program
Must be currently registered/licensed in Nebraska.
Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
CPR certification is preferred but not required.
Must be 16 years of age or older.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to lift, turn, move, position, and transport patients
Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
Must demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
Must be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must be able to lift 35 lbs floor to waist, lift 35 lbs waist to shoulder, lift and carry 35 lbs, and push/pull 35 lbs
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Certified Nursing Aide is responsible for providing routine daily nursing care to assigned patients to assure patient safety and attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each patient in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and care standards.
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Grooming and bathing patients with low mobilityAssist with Activities of Daily LivingPreparing each patient room with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment, and bathroom needsHelping patients eat and take medications (medication aide required)Making sure they have regular meals and proper medication dosages (medication aide required)Monitoring vitals and patient behavior and reporting them to the nursing and medical staffAssisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bedTurning or adjusting patients in bed to prevent bedsores or other discomfortExercising patients by helping them walkOver all general care of the ResidentsCharting and keeping accurate notationsParticipating in daily activities, keeping residents motivated and engagedBENEFITS
