About this Role
We are looking to fill aScientist 1- Pilot Plantposition working asa full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignmentonsite at one of our clients located inKenilworth, NJ.This position offers full benefits, sick time, 401K, paid holidays, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and implementation of robust pilot plant scale processes to do the following:
Support manufacture of clinical supplies (respiratory products) under GMP
Provide support in the preparation of pharmaceutical products for stability studies and other analytical studies
Follow safe laboratory practices and maintain the work area in a clean orderly and safe manner
Draft, review and execute GMP documents (SOPs, batch records)
Qualifications:BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline
Scientist 1 –BS/BA with 0 - 1 year of experienceRequired Skills and Experience
Relevant knowledge of GMP manufacturing
Mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining, designing, and/or operating machinery
Ability to follow safe laboratory practices and maintain work area in a clean orderly and safe manner
Ability to draft, review and execute GMP documents (SOPs, batch records)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills to multi-task and to manage multiple projects
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with Mammalian Cell Culture
A desire to develop complex pharmaceutical products and continuously learn
Experience with complex process equipment like powder feeders, acoustic mixers
Ability to adapt to and learn bespoke manufacturing equipment
Experience with data acquisition systems associated with pilot scale process equipment
A passion to contribute to the development of pharmaceutical products with a significant potential to impact global human health
