Location: Cottonwood Clinic
Coordinates clinical support in the physician practice. Under thedirection supervision of an MD or RN administers injections,immunizations, takes vitals, does intake assessments, records patientinformation into the medical chart, oversees physician daily patientschedule; assists with minor office surgical procedures.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates all patient care processes in the clinic setting.
Performs department core and job specific clinical competencies.
Serves as a liaison between the clinic, hospital and other appropriatecommunity resources.
Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient and family education.
Responsible for patient flow including pre examination triage,documentation of vital signs, summary of patient complaints, and movingpatients into and out of exam rooms.
Maintains inventory of clinical supplies at a reasonable level,medicines in current status, and keeps clinical area neat and clean.
Collaborate professionally with patient/significant others and membersof healthcare team.
Follows all organizational and department or unit policies andprocedures.
Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames,as part of the organizations overall mission.
Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airbornepathogens.
Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at alltimes. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writingand on telephone.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in Certified Medical Assisting
1-2 years previous experience in a clinic outpatient setting ispreferred
EMR experience preferred
Full time, M-F, 40 hours per week
