Responsibilities
We are seeking a mission-focused Cloud Infrastructure Engineerto support and contribute to our government customer’s success in Denver, Colorado!
ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED
This position is on a program that develops and operates Geospatial Intelligence analysis software. The team builds and maintains a robust platform enabling users to address challenging problems by converting disparate data into actionable information. They work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from the massive volumes of Geospatial Intelligence data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer opponents.
As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer/Systems Administrator, you will be working closely with Release Trains, Agile Teams, Security, and the rest of the System Team by providing and maintaining the environments needed to develop and fielding advanced intelligence capabilities. This includes configuration management of hardware and software environment, supporting the desktop development environment, providing cloud solutions, implementing infrastructure as code, and asset management and procurement.
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
Build and maintain infrastructure as code for cloud-based services
Provide cloud based architectural guidance
Provide disaster recovery design and implementation
Procure, build and maintain configuration management for on-prem hardware
Procure, install, and manage software licenses
Assist in establishment, maintenance and troubleshooting of cloud-based and on-prem networking
Automate development and operations processes to ensure reliability and repeatability
Provide and maintain standard operating systems environments
Qualifications
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
An active TS/SCI security clearance, preferably with CI polygraph
Seven (7) years of related experience
Experience deploying and maintaining Elastic clusters for data and logs
Experience with container management/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, RKE2) and/or Platform as a Service (e.g., Openshift)
Experience with Helm Charts (Helm), Kustomize and/or updating K8s manifests
Strong grasp of Linux
Demonstrated experience with infrastructure as code concepts
Experience managing unclassified and classified development environments including workstations, servers, and GPU assets
Understanding of network configuration in cloud and on-prem environments
Information Assurance/DoD 8570 certification IAT Level II or higher
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator Developer (CKAD)
AWS Certification – SysOps, DevOps, or Solutions Architect Asc
Familiarity with AWS Infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, ElastiCache, Route 53, IAM, CloudFront, CloudWatch, etc.)
Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC technology
Experience with GitOps Practices and Tools (e.g. ArgoCD)
Experience procuring equipment for government contracts
Experience managing hybrid on-prem / cloud operating environments
Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes in air-gap (classified) environments to include Amazon SC2S or C2S
Demonstrated experience in Kubernetes based application hardening or cybersecurity best practices
Security Clearance Level
TS/SCI with an adjudicated CI polygraph or ability to obtain a CI polygraph
Certification
Security+ certification or obtained within the first three (3) months of employment
Work Schedule
Full-time on-site at a designated facility Monday-Friday
Pay Rate
The projected compensation range for this position is $135,000 - $210,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
