This role supports clinical research and triage with patients enrolled in Oncology clinical research trials with a well renowned Cancer Center. The day to day expectation is that Research Nurses work closely with PI's and patients to adhere to clinical research protocols and work closely with research monitors, patients and doctors in hopes of providing research support to all clinical phases. Day to day duties include, but are not limited to:

　　Provides direct care to candidates for and participants in clinical trial research protocols, in collaboration with treating physicians and/or principal/local investigators through recognizing and responding appropriately to deviations from normal, identifying, interpreting, analyzing and evaluating patient’s condition and making alterations in treatment and diagnostic regiments in collaboration with treating physicians/principal/local investigators.

　　Coordinates the evaluation, treatment and follow-up of clinical trial candidates and participants in inpatient and ambulatory settings, educating staff at local and partner sites about clinical trials & related patient care and consulting with local & collaborating physicians & staff about patient care issues.

　　Qualifications:

　　Current Nursing License in Virginia (RN) is required

　　A minimum of 3-4 years of Nursing experience is required.
