Clinical Research Coordinator I - RI Biobeh VannattaRequisition ID2023-47396CategoryResearchOverviewA Clinical Research Coordinator I or II is needed for a multidisciplinary research team investigating developmental outcomes in youth with congenital heart disease (CHD). This individual will contribute to research investigating the impact of health challenges and environmental resources on the peer relationships, academic progress, and emotional well-being of children born with critical congenital heart defects. This work is focused on evaluating changes in academic, social and emotional functioning of children across the transition from elementary to middle school. Risk factors of interest include neurocognitive deficits known to be linked to critical CHD and early surgical interventions as well as environmental resources in the school and home settings (e.g., parenting practices). Opportunities exist to collaborate with other labs on additional, shared projects and dissemination of research findings through conference presentations and manuscript production. A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Clinical Research Coordinator will work directly with research participants (recruitment and informed consent, test administration, diagnostic interviewing, and other data collection, both virtually and in-person,Complete data coding, management, and statistical analysis.Follow and maintain IRB protocols and records.Participate in dissemination of research results.Professional development and mentorship are available for research staff interested in pursuing advanced degrees in psychology, medicine, public health, or related fields.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREDAssociates degree or equivalent work related experience; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred, e.g., Psychology or other behavioral sciencesExperience working or interacting with children.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Team player, with good interpersonal and communication skills, that will work well with research participants, supervisors, co-workers, and student supervisees.Ability to function independently, to make decisions, and to be a self-starter.Flexible
