Job Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is an advanced position that involves a balance of research participant contact, stakeholder contact, research study coordination, and management of community engagement. This individual must have the ability to organize complex components of various community-based research protocols. These components include coordinating partnerships between research and community teams on current and future projects for generating community interest and buy-in and working with the study team to ensure that research design and outcomes are ethical, safe, community grounded, and community/culturally humble and appropriate. Critical thinking, self-motivation and autonomy are critical to the daily tasks that are carried out in research-community partnerships. Research may focus on stigmatized public health issues as experienced within inequitable contexts and marginalized communities; communication skills to connect with, and convey information to, and learn from a wide variety of community members are essential. This position will work directly with research participants, community collaborators, and organizations related to health, social service, and cultural advocacy/education, providing opportunities for daily learning and contribution to research that is focused on improving health and wellbeing of individuals and communities through equitable and empowering strategies.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university within the health and science field required
One or more years of research and/or:
community engagement related to community health or health services in the areas of: health equity or disparities, culturally competent, strengths-based resources for health especially within Indigenous and rural communities preferred
child development/assessment experience preferred
Six months to one year of experience interacting with children in a professional setting preferred
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$23.75 - $36.00 per hour
