Salary: \$74,000 + based on experience Outpatient medical oncologyis a busy department with patients being seen in clinic by a provider,either a Medical Oncologist or Nurse Practitioner. In addition weprovide infusion services which may include chemotherapy, bloodtransfusions, or other IV therapies. Our clinic staff is made up ofNationally Certified Oncology RN\'s, Oncology Nurse Navigators, LPN\'sand secretarial staff to take care of patient needs. ScheduleDetails:Monday - Friday varied day shifts. The primary location will bePewaukee and Mukwonago. Weekend shifts will also be required every sixweeks. What You Will Do: The Collaborative Care Nurse (CCN) is a vitalmember of the Medical Oncology team at the UW Health at ProHealth CareCancer Center locations. Medical Oncology is a complex area. ClinicalNurses work with the providers in both the clinic and infusion and all 3locations (PWK, OMH, and DNG). Supporting patients throughout theircancer journey is one of the things that make us stand out from ourcompetition. This individual is responsible for: CCN\'s receive messageson patients and call back same day Phone calls will include triage,symptom management, prognosis, medication/scan related questions CCN\'sare also responsible for: Seeing patients scheduled withphysician/advanced practice providers daily Providing education IV andoral chemotherapy, surgeries, new medications Providing intervention andevaluation of patient needs Collaborating with other team members todevelop care plan for patients to achieve optimal outcomes Follow upwith patients on lab and scan results Anti-coagulation follow upCoordination of chemo admissions to hospital Coordinating combinedchemotherapy/radiation regimens with radiation treatment Nurses callpatients back between clinic patients and other high priority needs ofpatients on a daily basis. What You Will Need: Associate\'s Degree inNursing required. Bachelor\'s Degree is preferred Wisconsin RegisteredNurse License Valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support ( BLS)certification.
