Clinical Laboratory Specialist I & II - Sherman Oaks, CA
Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Clinical Laboratory Scientist at our client's premier PCR-based infectious disease laboratory, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of infectious disease testing. Reporting to the Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tasks, maintaining safety protocols, and contributing to the overall success of our laboratory operations.
Details:
Pay rate: $58 - $59/hr (+$2/hr shift differential)
Shift: Evening shift, 11pm - 3am start time, 8hr shifts; actual start-time to be decided based on hiring needs

Responsibilities:
Perform sample prep, DNA extraction, and PCR as needed.
Operate KingFisher Flex, Accufill, QuantStudio 12K, and 5.
Execute manual pipetting steps with small volumes and into a 384 well plate.
Review and assist the Quality Department with workflow updates and SOP maintenance.
Maintain accurate inventory and facilitate appropriate work output based on metrics.
Deep understanding of procedures, SOPs, and QC/controls to ensure data integrity.
Track and review incident reports and compliance issues under the direction of the Lab Manager.
Assist with equipment and workspace maintenance, including preventative checks and decontamination.
Complete all required CEU credits for CAP accreditation.
Meet CLIA requirements for General Supervisor as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or similar field
1-3 years of clinical laboratory experience
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Clinical Molecular Biologist Scientist License (CGMBS) certification required
Experience with QuantStudio and KingFisher preferred
Medical technologist (ASCP or AAB) certification preferred
