The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology, at the University of Virginia’s (UVA) School of Medicine, seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible Clinical Instructor position for a July 1, 2024 start date.
The Fellowship will include additional training related to pediatric cardiac imaging, including transthoracic/transesophageal/fetal echo, CT, and MRI. After the trainee is finished with this fellowship they will be qualified to assume a faculty imaging position in pediatric cardiology without additional training. This training will occur under the supervision of our pediatric cardiologists. This trainee will be a board-eligible pediatric cardiologist and will conduct general cardiology clinic weekly, call and inpatient service independently two weeks during the fellowship year.
The Clinical Instructor will actively participate in multi-disciplinary conferences as well as in daily teaching activities through interactions with residents, medical students and clinical faculty. Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and successfully completed a residency in Pediatric Cardiology at an ACGME accredited institution.
