Job Overview
Come be a part of our Clinical Nutrition Team! We are an incredible group ofclinicians dedicated to providing patient & family centered evidence-basedmedical nutrition therapy. Our clinical RDs are highly integrated within themultidisciplinary team on the inpatient units and outpatient clinics atChildren's Hospital Colorado. Incorporates principles ofculture-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.Completes written documentation of medical nutrition therapy provided inaccordance with department standards for format, content, and time frames.Completes nutrition focused physical exam by evaluating body systems,mid-upper arm circumference, triceps skinfold, muscle, and subcutaneousfat wasting, feeding ability, oral health, skin condition, appetiteand affect if applicable for patient care.Provides education and nutrition counseling to patients and families. Participates in the updating and development of nutrition education materialsas needed.Assists interns, students and peers in their clinical practice andprofessional development.Collaborates with the family, medical team, schools, home care companiesand other providers as appropriate to provide continuum of care for thepatient and clinical services and outcomes.Contributes to clinical services and outcomes through rounds, careconferences and care coordination.Documents patient care time and activities for use with benchmarking,billing and productivity.Participates in quality management processes and work groups to make
