Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The coordinator is a registered nurse who assists in the coordination, direction, and evaluation of patient care; unit and staff activities on the heart team of the open-heart patient. The coordinator is responsible for educating and training staff members of the heart team.

This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.Qualifications

Minimum:

Must have 1 year current experience in open-heart care.

Graduate of accredited School of Nursing

RN = RN license from NV State Nursing Board.

CT CPRBLS = CT-AHA-BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-Nat'l

CT ACLS = CTADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPP-Nat'l;

CT PALS - CT-PEDIATRIC ADV LIFE SUPP-Nat'l

Demonstrates organizational skill and leadership ability.

Required to be flexible in scheduling, i.e., weekends, holidays, and on call.

Perioperative training in the Operating Room environment w/2 years minimum Operating Room experience.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Preferred:

$51.65 - $71.64 /hour
