DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Clinical Care Reviewer (County Care Management Manager), you will provide telephone assessments to complete referral and accurate case documentation for mental health and substance abuse services.
Through your calls, you will gather necessary demographic and clinical information and provide information regarding benefits, treatment options, the managed care system, and community resources. With the information gathered, you will review and evaluate the medical appropriateness of psychiatric, behavioral health, and substance abuse cases and, in consultation with supervisor, render a certification decision. You will also prepare required reports as mandated by federal, state or county policies and procedures in addition to participating in clinical rounds, seminars, and training sessions to maintain licensure and clinical credentials.
Duties also involve advocating for consumers and families, facilitating coordination of care with other care managers, conducting follow-up, and participating in customer service assessment activities. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of professional mental health clinical experience and possession of an active license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, orA master's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or counseling and two years of professional mental health clinical experience.
