　　The University of Chicago\'s Department of Pediatrics, Section ofHospital Medicine, seeks part-time Clinical Associates for renewableterms of up to two years to join our expanding Pediatric HospitalMedicine group. Clinical responsibilities will include pediatricmedicine, newborn care, and ED consultation. Appointees may have theopportunity to participate in quality improvement efforts in thecommunity hospitals and in a specialty pediatric hospital for extendedacute care for children with chronic conditions. We welcome applicantsdedicated to working as a part of a dynamic and exceptional team ofpediatric hospitalists. These positions do not require teaching orscholarly activity.

　　The Department of Pediatrics is committed to providing superior andcompassionate healthcare to all children. We strive to provide aneducation and training experience that fosters the next generation ofnational and international leaders in child health. The departmentincludes more than 130 full-time faculty members, clinical associates,and postdoctoral researchers. UChicago Medicine Comer Children\'sHospital is a free standing 165 bed children\'s hospital with a fullcomplement of pediatric services.

　　Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have amedical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medicallicensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible inGeneral Pediatrics, and 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited pediatricresidency program.
