Summary:
The Clinical Application Support Analyst is responsible for understanding clinical requirements in an operational healthcare setting and translating those requirements into formal specifications for products and services.
This includes leveraging capabilities of a clinical information system to re-engineer clinical workflow supporting the use of clinical technologies.
The Clinical Application Support Analyst also is responsible for supporting physicians, physician extenders, nurses and ancillary staff in the utilization of multiple clinical information systems that impact their workflow.
The Clinical Application Support Analyst uses a strong understanding of physician and/or clinical workflow processes and identifies the impact of a system's functionality on those processes.
They will work closely with other members of BayCare Information Services, Nursing Leadership, Medical Staff Services, and Clinical Education.
They must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, in addition to strong understanding of clinical workflows and processes.
Preferred candidates should reside within Pinellas as they will regularly travel to sites within the county.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Experience - 3 years - Registered Nurse; Or - 3 years - Healthcare in related field; Preferred - 2 years - Clinical Informatics
Required Education: Associates; Or - Diploma - Nursing; Preferred - Bachelors
Required Credentials: RN (Registered Nurse); Or - Pharmacist; Or - PT (Physical Therapy); Or - OT (Occupational Therapy); Or - Speech Therapy; Or - Audiology; Or - RRT (Respiratory Therapy); And - Active NBRC Credential for RRT; Or - Radiology - License; And - ARRT (Radiologic Technologists) - Relevant Specialty
