Job Description:
The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a professional individual to take on the important role of efficient monitoring of clinical operational and revenue cycle processes in the clinical mission. This position manages all coding work queue support for the department to expedite the billing and collection of professional fee services. This position encompasses a range of administrative and auditing tasks, work queue management, and clinical note documentation reporting, all of which contribute to the overall success of the clinical mission and department.

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Serve as the department administrator for various Epic work queues to include: charge review edits, claim edits, insurance denial follow-up authorizations, and interface errors.
Ensure proper transmission of weekly reports to/from external coding partner to include charts not received log and request for additional information log.
Assist with analyzing billing and charge data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Track and monitor outstanding charges and work with departmental leadership to ensure timely submission of claims to maximize revenue capture.
Serve as a liaison between internal compliance office and external coding company with new provider or recurring documentation audit reports.
Provide reporting support to the department by tracking daily charge reconciliation and chart status reports.
Provide reporting support to the department by overseeing and analyzing monthly provider reports which include cosigning, work RVU, coding distribution, and documentation data information.
Expected Salary:
$20.59 - $23.47/hr; commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Knowledge and experience with coding and reporting
EPIC system knowledge
Ability to plan, organize, delegate and coordinate work assignments
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication
Skill and knowledge with various computer programs
Ability to understand, interpret and apply applicable reports, regulations, policies, and procedures
Ability to independently perform various administrative tasks
Ability to collect and organize data and reports for administrative decisions
Ability to meet deadlines
