CHI Urgent Care is looking for a Full Time Clinic RN to join the team!

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a key role in the delivery of patient care. The RN plans, implements, and evaluates individual patient care documents in the clinic according to established practice, protocols, policies and procedures. The RN assists nurse practitioners in clinical duties to ensure patients and families receive the highest quality care and knowledge promoting patient wellness. The RN will practice nursing in accordance with the North Dakota Nurse Practice Act.

What You'll Do:

Assures quality of care by adhering to St. Alexius Medical Center policies, philosophies and standards of care regulated by ND State Board of Nursing, the ND nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations..

Registers and prepares the patient(s) for their Urgent Care visit and documents accordingly

Collects identification and payor related documentation, conducts patient registration, and performs point of service collection.

Measures and collects patient data including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respirations, blood pressure, height, weight, and, in indicated pediatric patients, length and head circumference. Conducts vision screenings. Communicates the data and results to the patient.

Documents all data accurately into the patient medical record.

Completes, when appropriate, standard operating procedures (convenience and clinical) to optimize patient comfort.

Prepares patients for examinations and procedures. Assists provider with patient care. At the direction and delegation of the provider, performs approved lab tests and diagnostic testing, prepares and administers designated medications (oral, subcutaneous, intradermal, intramuscular), instills eye drops, and applies topical medications

Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures.

Works in all areas and locations of the Urgent Care Clinics, filling in for absences and assisting the nursing staff as needed

Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, participating in team problem-solving methods.

Utilizes the nursing process to assist in coordinating a plan of care for patients and families including referrals to primary care clinics for optimal patient outcomes.

Meets the educational needs of coworkers and patient/family utilizing principles of teaching/learning

Delegates nursing care based on scope of practice, knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements

Qualifications

Licensed to practice nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state

Basic life support certified

Pay Range

$26.14 - $36.91 /hour
