DescriptionPosition SummaryThis position in the Cellular Therapy Service Laboratory will be responsible for processing clinical and clinical research cellular therapy products for infusion into patients. The Cellular Therapy Laboratory is responsible for processing and storage of cellular products for use in compliance with FDA and FACT regulations. The laboratory supports the Stem Cell Transplant program of the Seidman Cancer Center and somatic cell therapy clinical trials at UHCMC, the Cleveland Clinic and nationally.Essential FunctionsResponsible for preparation of cellular therapy products under regulatory body guidelines for stem cell transplant patients, cell therapy clinical trials at UHCMC, corporation entities and national consortium trials (60%)Responsible for validating and development of new cell therapy procedures (20%)Documents procedures according to Good Documentation Practice Guidelines (15%)Maintenance of the lab equipment used in cell processing under regulatory guidelines (5%)Required For All JobsPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
