Optum's Electronic Health Record (EHR) Services represents one of the fastest growing practices within Optum Insight's Advisory and Implementations business unit. The EHR Services practice is comprised of 600+ individuals across the U.S. and Ireland who are dedicated to improving the healthcare delivery system through the power of healthcare technology, specifically, the EHR and integrated applications and tools. By joining the EHR Services team, you'll partner with some of the most gifted healthcare technology thought leaders within the industry, collaborate with experienced consulting and healthcare leaders, and help partners capture the benefits of their EHR investment.
Optum is seeking an experienced Client Success Lead to expand support capabilities for EHR Service's client's from contract signature and initial staffing, to developing the partnership, and eventually integrating and transitioning the client to a long-term relationship model. A successful candidate will first and foremost have significant experience in EHRs, both implementation and ongoing operations and across clinical, business, and administrative applications. Additional success in bridging IT and operations teams, broad experience working with clinical operations and business operations in IT delivery, and a good understanding of EHR vendor relationships.
Solid candidates for this role will be able to demonstrate self-motivation, individual leadership, and team collaboration, and a knack for driving consensus from ambiguity and creating stability during instability.

Primary Responsibilities:
Bridge the relationship between Electronic Health Record (EHR) Services and client EHR leadership teams Build credibility with clients in EHR operational and technical leadership, and collaboratively solve operational, staffing, and project obstacles Coach and mentor staff involved with the client, and act as an escalation point for issues Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate staffing and adherence to project timelines Deliver to contractual and financial models with diligence Monitor and track client relationships, identifying potential risks or issues and implementing corrective actions Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on relationship and project status, milestones achieved, and potential risks and roadblocks Recommend innovative ideas, processes, and procedures for enhancements, additions, and modifications to improve existing systems and practices Create content (e.g., pitch decks, executive summaries, etc.) that can be used in business development and consulting meetings Ensure accuracy of all deliverables including presentations, contracts, and spreadsheets, requiring interface with Finance or Compliance/Legal as necessary Lead and develop in collaboration with others around EHR road maps and initiatives to meet the clients needs as well as align with the broader EHR landscape Consult on business development opportunities, on projects in EHR Services, and with clients using your healthcare and EHR experience

Required Qualifications:
Holds Active Epic Certifications 10+ years of experience in Electronic Health Record (EHR) operations and implementation 6+ years of experience partnering with Epic Systems Corporation on management of a health system's Epic environment 6+ years of experience in business operations management, including analysis of business processes and workflows, and providing evaluations, benchmarks, and/or process improvement recommendations Demonstrated exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to coach, mentor, and lead through change Demonstrated ability to manage projects within a defined timeline and budget Demonstrated solid analytical, problem-solving, and adaptable thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years working directly at a health system on an EHR application or operations team Consulting experience with a focus on analyzing and interpreting client needs and creating value through professional product delivery Experience working with fully remote project teams, matrixed org structures, and leading projects to successful completion Knowledge of the EHR vendor and advisory services landscape Familiarity with process improvement and software development methodologies (like Agile)

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $118,000 to $226,800 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
