About Client Director

  Founded in 1934, Medical Mutual is the oldest and one of the largest health insurance companies based in Ohio.   Works with Regional Sales Vice President (RVP) to establish goals for a book of business. Aligns and develops staff to drive successful account relationship leading to renewals and add on sales. Works to establish relationships with key accounts and brokers to support Account Executives in managing all accounts. Stays current with industry changes, understands laws and regulations that impact both staff and clients. Works with staff and broker distribution system to develop solutions to create business opportunities.

  Responsibilities

  Client Director

  · Builds relationships and establishes line of communication with brokers, clients and vendors, as well as internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and provide timely resolution to problem or inquiries.

  · Under the direction of leadership establishes performance goals that contribute to the retention of enrolled contracts and acquisition of new business while providing staff supporting direction to attain goals.

  · Oversees the flow of information and fulfillment of requests for clients, ensures quality, compliance, and accuracy.

  · Evaluates and analyzes issues and determines when it is necessary to deviate from an established workflow to resolve customer problems.

  · Stays current with changes in processes, benefits, etc. at Medical Mutual that impact customers. Ensures customers are in compliance with changes.

  · Ensures staff is properly trained, stays current with ongoing business changes and can offer consultative services to clients.

  · Oversees the management of assigned accounts ensuring appropriate file maintenance, group structures, personality profiles, benefits, and contacts are developed to effectively service client.

  · Mentoring the Account Executive team members during the renewal process.

  · Community outreach and regional community involvement in the field.

  · Performs other duties as assigned.

  Sr. Client Director

  · Works with the RVP to establish common performance goals for department.

  · Responsible for the review, generation and maintenance of reporting and dashboards, research of influencers, board contacts, acquire competitive information, assist in scheduling and coordination of events and seminars.

  · Works with internal groups throughout the company to identify issues and resolve problems proactively.

  · Builds successful teams, establishes, communicates, and monitors the effectiveness of guidelines/procedures for day-to-day operations. Conducts Unit meetings to overview progress and performance-to-goal.

  · Performs other duties as assigned.

  · Provide performance evaluations for Account Executives and Account Administrators

  Qualifications

  Client Director

  Education and Experience:

  · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  · 8 years sales/account management experience in health insurance industry, preferably in a supervisory capacity.

  Professional Certification(s):

  · Ohio Department of insurance license.

  Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  · In-depth knowledge of health insurance products, sales and industry processes including underwriting, stop loss, benefit plan design; health care funding arrangements, health insurance industry and related laws/regulations including HIPPA, COBRA, FMLA.

  · Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

  Sr. Client Director

  Education and Experience:

  · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  · A minimum of 8 years sales/account management experience in health insurance industry

  · At least 5 of these years in a supervisory capacity

  Professional Certification(s):

  · Ohio Department of insurance license

  Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  · Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of health insurance products, sales and industry processes including underwriting, stop loss, benefit plan design; health care funding arrangements, health insurance industry and related laws/regulations including HIPPA, COBRA, FMLA.

  · Intermediate MS Office Skills.
