  Job Description:

  This position is responsible for web-based data entry and maintenance of rail freight rates in the Rail Rate Inquiry system.

  Key responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  Reading and understanding railroad tariffs and private contracts

  Accurate rate entry and maintenance of current rate data

  Collaborating with our freight accrual team on audit of invoices

  Assist in everyday problem-solving revolving around rate issues

  Communication with business groups on various items related to the rail billing process

  Job Requirements:

  High school diploma or equivalent required plus minimum of 2 years general office experience preferred

  Excellent data entry and keyboard skills

  Basic understanding of mathematical/accounting procedures

  Attention to detail and the ability to locate discrepancies is essential

  Ability to work independently as well as with a team

  Ability to communicate effectively

  Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  Experience in internal rail systems and general railroad knowledge preferred

  Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, & Word)

  This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position requires being in the corporate office five days a week. There is flexibility for remote work in case of complications: weather, sickness, etc.
