The chosen candidate should have outstanding computer, clerical, follow-up, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
Capability to attain proficiency in using and comprehending SharePoint for document management and tracking, as well as Oracle, Iron Mountain Connect, eTrain, the Laboratory Management Information System (LIMS), Maximo, and Environmental Management Information System (EMIS).
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential for engaging with internal teams and external customers/vendors.
The chosen candidate should possess effective verbal and written communication skills and be capable of managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities as needed.
Primary responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to, utilizing Oracle or an equivalent system to generate requisitions, receipt orders and reconcile invoices. Using LIMS to prepare vendor lab orders (extracts) and handle receipts. Aiding in material ordering and receipt, managing inventory, and organizing. Assisting in student enrollment/de-enrollment in eTrain, and contributing to the maintenance of SharePoint sites, mail collection, and records management tasks.
Filing lab reports and records; coordinating and overseeing long-term storage via Iron Mountain or an equivalent service.
Assist with data trending and tracking as directed.
Support the organization in achieving predefined goals and key performance indicators.
Undertake additional clerical and/or administrative tasks and assignments as needed to support other sections within the Employee Health & Safety (EH&S) organization.
The individual is required to maintain confidentiality and adhere rigorously to ethical standards of business conduct consistently.
The System Emergency Assignment (SEA) program provides a mechanism by which Con Edison can best utilize its employee resources should an event occur that affects our facilities, equipment, or systems and the company's operating department(s). Your System Emergency Assignment (SEA) may be different than your everyday job. The purpose of this role is to help in an emergency response, and the expectation is that this is not voluntary. All employees must report for their assignment when called upon.
Required Education/Experience
High School Diploma/GED and 4 years office experiencePreferred Education/Experience
High School Diploma/GED and 2 years experience in billing, accounting office environment
Associate's Degree and 2 years office experience
Bachelor's Degree
