You have strong supervisory skills; you can serve as a mentor and help to train others. You have effective time management skills and are able to prioritize and handle numerous tasks. You re an excellent communicator; you can explain changes in curriculum and teaching standards to staff. You have great analytical skills: you can evaluate data and teaching strategies and recommend improvements in teaching and curriculum. A day in the life: You ll directly supervise classroom staff, including coaching, observation and feedback. You ll coordinate support services for children and families to help their development towards school readiness. You ll build relationships with families, and help encourage them to be involved in the Head Start Program. You ll monitor classrooms and delivery of educational services, making sure performance standards and licensing regulations are met. You ll coordinate team meetings with classroom staff, Family Advocate and other support staff. You ll maintain reports, records and documentation. Qualifications: A bachelor s or advanced degree in early childhood education; or a bachelor s or advanced degree and equivalent coursework in early childhood education with early education teaching experience. Two years prior classroom and/or supervisory experience is preferred. You must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP s values of collaboration, innovation, compassion, diversity, equity and inclusion. Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements. Full-time, 40 hours/week, $22.51/hr. depending on qualifications, with benefits. 10 months position (school year). This position supports classrooms in Pine River and Walker. Tentative Schedule: Monday Thursday 7am 4:30pm Friday 8am 12.
