Reference #: 1111021700Lake Superior Consulting is seeking to fill a full-timeCivil Engineer Internposition at our home office in Duluth, MN for Summer 2024!The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Civil Engineering Supervisor. This person will be exposed to a variety of internal and external stakeholders in conjunction with key civil engineering techniques and processes. This person will also be exposed to a variety of projects related to facilities design, and construction management from inception through delivery. Typically, these projects will be multi-disciplinary covering civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical work.

　　Duties and Responsibilities:Work on multiple assignments; work independently; communicate and interface effectively while working in a team environmentAssist engineers and CAD Designers with completing project design documentation, calculations, research, CAD drawings, and/or reportsAssist engineers in developing standard operational department procedures and drawing standards and detailsAssist project engineers and CAD Designers in preparing project cost estimates, reports and design documentsRead and interpret site construction plans for stormwater utilities, site layout, grading and paving, and associated details.Assist in designing stormwater management facilities using AutoCAD, primarily underground detention/retention systems with pre-and post-treatment devices to meet regulatory requirements.Assist in performing calculations for stormwater storage, infiltration, open-channel flow, pollutant removal, and construction quantities.
