Civil Engineer

　　Summary

　　This position is responsible for the coordination and planning of all short and mid-range gypsum stack expansions, construction activities and operations oversight. The engineer is responsible for stack progression design development, construction staking activities, as-built surveys, mapping, and volume calculations. This role would assist with capital (expansion) project planning and execution, including project scoping, cost estimating, scheduling, funding application requests, and field oversight during construction.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　Develops and evaluates plans and success criteria to ensure project and/or system performance meets business objectives and environmental compliance for a variety of projects and activities.

　　Work closely with the engineer of record with ongoing monitoring and operations of the gypsum stack system.

　　Coordinate with operations to stay on track with long term planning goals of the facility.

　　May support the development of new or modified components, products, manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.

　　Participates within teams in establishing the appropriate designs, engineering, and execution processes.

　　Communicates project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.

　　Capable of preparing and gaining alignment on engineering proposals, feasibility studies and vendor/construction packages.

　　Track actual production to compare progress to the sort and mid-range plans.

　　Oversee and assist in routine inspections of areas as required by regulatory agencies.

　　Use of surveying equipment to provide control to operations and conduct as-build surveys for volume calculations, capacity calculations, slope staking and construction quality control.

　　Track actual production and compare progress to short and mid-range plans.

　　Help develop, administer, and implement policies and procedures related to engineering and operations best practices.

　　Assist with and coordinate work being performed by outside consulting, engineering, and construction firms.

　　Assist with capital project designs, c and implementation.

　　Contribute to the budgeting process (Capital and expense)

　　Take on other assignments as required to meet business needs.

　　Typical Education

　　Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Civil Engineering from 4 year college or universityRelevant Experience

　　3+ years related experience and/or training

　　Strong interpersonal skills

　　Computer skills must include: AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS office Tools.

　　Must have the ability to read and understand Civil, Structural, and mechanical drawings.

　　Must be able to manage time effectively and set priorities.

　　Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

　　Requites the ability to manage multiple tasks.
