DUTIES: Delivers and collects mail on foot orby vehicle under varying road and weather conditions in a prescribedarea. Maintains professional and effective public relations withcustomers and others, Requiring a general familiarity with postal laws,regulations, products and procedures commonly used, and with thegeography of the area. May be required to carry mail weighing up to 35pounds in shoulder satchels or other equipment and to load or unloadcontainer of mail weighing up to 70 pounds. Hours will vary and willinclude holidays and weekends; there is no guarantee of hours. You mustbe flexible with little to no lead time or advance notice of a schedulechange. You will perform work indoors and outdoors in all weather: rain,sleet, ice, snow, cold, and heat, and you may encounter animals andinsects too. Your duties will be physically demanding requiring moderateto heavy lifting, carrying, prolonged standing, reaching, and walking.You may be required to learn and become proficient in delivery of mailon other routes. You will always provide mail security. You must followestablished safe work methods and procedures. REQUIREMENTS: May berequired to work any day of the week, includingweekends/Sundays/holidays, as scheduled.
