　　This position includes performing complex electrical work performed atthe journeyman level in the installation, maintenance, testing, andrepair of lift stations, lighting, building facilities, traffic signalsand all associated components including the communications network,street and ornamental lighting and wiring, pumps and motors, civildefense systems, electrical, electronic, and Supervisory Control andData Acquisition (SCADA) equipment associated with municipal electricalsystems and equipment.

　　In addition, this position includes the performance of skilled tasks ona variety of installations maintained by the City. Work is performedunder the general supervision of the Chief Electrician, Superintendentof Mechanical Maintenance, the City Engineer, and others as appropriatewith considerable technical independence and is subject to incidentalinstructions on new work and installation assignments. Work is reviewedthrough discussion on specific problems, incidental inspection ofcompleted work, work reports prepared, and the achievement of desiredresults.
