　　Med Surg – Full Time –Day Shift- Req 7152

　　The LPN performs tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered professional nurse, licensed physician, or other select licensed authorized health care provider. The LPN ensures compassionate, engaged care meets or exceeds quality standards. Care is provided in efficient and safe manner consistent with CHMC standards. A LPN works under the direct supervision of an RN.

　　Qualifications: Valid and current registration N.Y.S. LPN license. BLS Certification. PMCS within orientation period. Basic computer knowledge. Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information. Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies. Ability to implement and support procedures and programs pertaining to patient safety and security. Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities. Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the monitoring and documentation of information. Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients. Acknowledging changes in a patient’s condition or behavior, and promptly reporting these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel. Performing various intervention tasks as assigned by the charge nurse.
