　　POSITION SUMMARY:

　　The Home-based Maternal Health Specialist works to assist mothers in scheduling and attending post-partum and well-baby appointments; assess infant and mother care and home supports; monitor infant developmental stages; and offer guidance, education and referrals to parents as appropriate to achieve positive support outcomes through home visiting. 

　　This full-time position works a Monday - Friday schedule of 8am to 4:30pm.

　　QUALIFICATIONS:

　　*          Required:  *

　　Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) *OR *a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential.Demonstrate competency to plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children's progress across the standards described in the evidence-based tool provided, included for children with disabilities and dual language learners, as appropriate, and building respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families.Knowledge in infant/toddler development/education/health/nutrition/safety as well as family dynamics and adult learning principles.Knowledge of community resources and the skills to link families with the appropriate agencies and services.Must be able to secure, within 90 days of hire, and maintain the basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.Demonstrated ability to complete basic computer tasks or Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Current driver's license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle.

　　Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Child Development, Children Services (or related field)1 year experience Early Education, Early Childhood Development, Children Services, or related fieldBilingual English/Spanish speaking
