Job Purpose: TheDivision of Milwaukee Child Protective Services contracts with WellpointCare Network to provide child welfare services to about 900 familiesincluding nearly 1,200 children. Our next Child Welfare Case Managerwill work diligently to provide services that ensure safety, permanence,and well-being. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s Degree in Social Work (BSW)or a related field required; Master\'s Degree (MSW) preferred. Minimumone (1) year of Experience in child welfare and/or a related humanservices field preferred. Experience working in diverse communities withyouth and families Knowledge of community resources Ability todemonstrate critical thinking skills, detail oriented, highly effectiveverbal, and written communication skills Demonstrate an ability toeffective understanding and practice of cultural humility and abilitywork and communicate respectfully with individuals from diversebackgrounds. Proficient in the usage of computer software; demonstratean understanding of computer file systems and computer softwarepackages, e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Teams, ADP, etc. ValidWisconsin driver\'s license required. Physical exam, drug screen, motorvehicle report, and background checks are required for this positioDuties: Monitors the safetyand well-being of children to assess forpresent and impending dangers. Engagesall family members includingfathers in family teammodel. Connects families to community resourcesand make appropriate referrals to resources. Conducts in-home visits andsafety assessments. Facilitates and monitors change planning to ensurefamilies can enhance parental protective capacities by creating goalswith families. Makes referrals for Transfer of Guardianship/SubsidizedGuardianship/Termination of Parental Rights to the DA\'s office ordocument exception in WISACWIS per timelines. Supports children andfamilies in the post-TPR process. Provides accurate and professionaldocumentation in case notes, summaries, assessments, and paperwork.Collaborates with Child Welfare and Foster Care teams. n.
