The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking anorganized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve asChild Protection Investigator. Under direction, this position willreceive and investigate reports of alleged child abuse/neglect withinmandated time limits. Essential Functions
Serves as Child Protection InvestigatorPrepares investigation reports for assessing validity of reports ofallegationsSelects, summarizes, and presents case material for transfer topermanency caseworker or community agenciesDetermines the need for and coordinates the placement of children insubstitute care facilitiesAttends multi-disciplinary diagnostic and technical staffconferences to assess needed servicesTransports clients when taking protective custody, when placing themin substitute care, and when changing placement locationPerforms other duties as required or assigned which are reasonablywithin the scope of the duties enumerated above
