OurTeachers are responsible for implementing an established play-basedcurriculum and executing an ongoing program of activities that meets thebasic developmental needs and self-care skills of our children, as wellas encouraging the children to move from vigorous physical activities toquiet activities. Teachers must be able to maintain a positive, warm,and encouraging environment for children and interact with them in apositive and loving manner. Also, the teacher must be able to maintain apositive and supportive relationship with parents and other associates.The Academy is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am 5:30 pm.Responsibilities: Develop and carry out appropriate developmentalactivities with the class, Continuously supervise and interact withchildren, individually and in groups. Establish and maintain open andpositive communications with parents and associates. Interact withparents through our app, email, and parent meetings to keep themapprised of their childs progress. Implement Frog Street Presscurriculum with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers or the Connect 4Learning curriculum with our pre-kindergarten classes. Adhere to alllicensing regulations, as well as childcare center policies andprocedures. Requirements: At least 18-years-oldCollege degree in EarlyChildhood or related field preferred OR have a Child DevelopmentAssociate (CDA) or willing to earn a CDA credential within the first 24months of employment. Experience working with children at a licensedchildcare facility. A respectful and caring mindset toward children.Basic understanding of child growth and development. Good verbal andwritten communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and theability to function effectively as part of a team. A positive attitude.Ability to be flexible. Light to medium lifting required and the abilityto keep up with active young children and work inside and outside allyear. Able to use Microsoft Office to input data and communicate to orwith parents. Able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Able touse hands and fingers to handle, to hold and care for children/infants,to handle or feel small objects and controls and to care for thechildren. Able to repeatedly reach with hands and arms; and stoop,kneel, crouch, bend, twist, squat, climb or crawl.
