　　Job Overview

　　The Child Care Attendant provides a safe and stimulating play environment forchildren (6 weeks to 17 years old) enrolled in the child care program(KidStreet) or in the organization's sibling support programChildren's Hospital Colorado, KidStreet, is a unique therapeutic childdevelopmental center for medically complex children aged 6 weeks to 3 yearsold. Children receive educational, therapeutic & medical services whileengaging in developmentally appropriate activities and interacting with othersimilarly aged children. Staff works together on an inter- professional teamof therapists (OT, PT, SLP and Learning), nurses, medicalassistants, and childcare attendants. At KidStreet, our role is to preparethese children to successfully transition to a more conventional home,childcare, or preschool environment.

　　Assists with patient care, educational activities and therapeuticinterventions (e.g., bottle feed, hold syringe after GT feedsinitiated, change diapers, rock or comfort children, turn off feedingpump when feed completed, apply orthotic devices) in the child careenvironment as delegated by the clinical team.Provides a safe and inclusive space to support the supervision of siblings whoare rel ted to a current patient and meet sibling support criteria un theCreative Play sibling support environment.Maintains a safe environment for population served and monitor childrenclosely to avoid accident or injury.
