Job Description Summary
The Dowty CFO leads a finance team and partners with the business leadership team across commercial, product lines, engineering, and supply chain to drive strategy and capital allocation, operational insights, and linkages to the financials as well as finance and compliance rigor throughout our processes.
It is expected that this leader will encourage and leverage the adoption of lean tools and digitization to create capacity for our teams to work on things that create the most value for the business and support our operating teams with a mix of daily management, continuous improvement, and breakthroughs.
This role reports into the CFO for Propulsion & Additive Technologies and operationally into the Dowty CEO.

Essential Responsibilities
Management and oversight of the P&L and B/S for the Dowty businessDrive accurate and complete financials and utilize financial reporting to drive operational actionMaintain the highest standards of controllership, compliance & rigor ... strong partnership with controllership, engineering & supply chainResponsibility for PBLs accounting and financial reportingResponsibility for providing insight into forecasting & performance of the business to the Dowty CEOEffectively communicate key dynamics of programs to both internal and external stakeholdersLead initiatives to improve processes and reduce workload for the teamsPeople development, staffing, and planning for direct staffManage capital allocation decisions and modelling of current and next generation programsDevelop relationships with customers and understand government funding processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or businessMultiple years of finance experience in roles of increasing responsibilityAbility to link finance to operational / business value streamsDemonstrated experience in change management, project management and process excellenceStrong critical thinking skills and able to drive an agenda and influence at all levelsAbility to structure, negotiate, and execute complex business arrangementsAbility to lead and coach a global organizationAbility to communicate complex issues to various stakeholdersExperience working in a matrixed environment and leading through influence globally
