The Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is a key member of the senior leadership team. Responsibilities:Manage the company-wide accounting/consolidation close process to ensure accurate accounting in an efficient and timely mannerDrive innovation, efficiency and effectiveness in monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes to achieve increased accuracy and a shortened month end close cycleLead the use of technology in accounting and control processes, including automation and aligning disparate data/systemsDrive implementation of a new ERP and peripheral financial and reporting systemsOversee all treasury operations, cash management and cash reportingManage communications with external auditors on external financial statements, accounting issues, and company decisions on accounting disclosuresLead the development and evolution of accounting policies and technical accounting positions, processes, and proceduresOversee tax compliance in conformity with all federal, state, local, and corporate laws and policiesEstablish an internal control framework across all financial and operational processesWork closely with FP&A team and business leaders to align processes and review forecast materials as necessaryRequirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master's degree strongly preferredCPA with 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 firm and corporate experience, in public company environmentStrong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controlsExperience in internal control design and financial process optimizationExperience with ERP implementation preferredExperience with M&A, divestitures, and spin-offsProven record track record of innovation, leadership, teamwork, and creativityExperience with leading a function / organization through transformation and evolutionExperience leading global finance & accounting teams preferredBase Range: $250,000 - $320,000 + Bonus EligibleFor business reasons, Promethean does not employ individuals who work remotely in San Francisco, San Jose or Oakland.
